E-learning for Arts and Cultural Heritage Education in Archive an Museums

Archives and museums hold great potential for encouraging greater Participation in learning, and hence will not only for raising educational levels in the active population but Also for enhancing the quality of citizens' lives. In this chapter we analyze how archives and museums approach the rising challenges of the information society in Their education and mediation activities. Our answer is far from being comprehensive, it is rather an introduction to the utilization of information and communication technologies (ICT) in arts and cultural heritage education. We outline the domain of arts and cultural heritage education and the domain of e-learning from a theoretical perspective. With this knowledge we then investigated the current use of digital media in education, in the exhibition room and on the Internet. Before we end this chapter, we analyze our observations in order to identify threads and patterns in the field of today's arts and cultural heritage education in archives and museum.

Archivi e musei sono in grado di incoraggiare una maggiore partecipazione alla formazione per aumentare non solo i livelli di istruzione della popolazione attiva, ma anche per migliorare la qualità della vita dei cittadini. In questo capitolo si analizza come gli archivi e i musei affrontano le sfide di mediazione e formazione nella società contemporanea. Si tratta principalmente di una introduzione all'utilizzo delle tecnologie dell'informazione e della comunicazione (TIC) in educazione artistica e culturale. Con questa ricerca si indaga sull'attuale uso dei media digitali nella formazione, nella sale espositive di un museo e su Internet. Prima della conclusione della survey, vengono poi riportate delle osservazioni al fine di identificare nuovi modelli di sviluppo nel campo del patrimonio culturale di un archivio e museo.
